Key features
INFINITT PACS is a comprehensive web-based solution for general PACS and specialized cardiology, mammography and 3D applications on a single database platform. This provides a consistent user interface, single sign-on, improved workflows and straightforward integration with other applications and information systems.
- INFINITT PACS supports data sharing between healthcare facilities through medical image sharing.
- High-speed image display: Just-in-Time (JIT) Loading enables viewing of studies containing many images immediately after selection. Progressive Display enables viewing even over slow networks.
- Supports 2D and 3D imaging functions for faster, more accurate diagnosis.
- Users can save edited studies in folders for different purposes. A unified worklist allows clinicians to access patient images from other hospitals on a single worklist screen.
INFINITT PACS has continuously evolved through successive versions. G7 is a newer generation described in this product profile.
- Enhancements include quick search, an integrated web browser, viewed-study history and scheduling of clinical consultations.
- A redesigned layout and viewer reduce clicks and settings changes.
- Supports tracking charts for oncology cases and radiotherapy analysis.
- Integrated AI solutions aim to reduce patient harm and diagnostic errors.
INFINITT PACS supports storage, acquisition, display and sharing of medical images from modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
INFINITT PACS has been used worldwide for decades. Its scope has expanded from radiology to other specialties including cardiology, oncology, pathology and dentistry, and to connections between healthcare facilities and mobile examination services.
DICOM is a widely used medical imaging standard that addresses interoperability between PACS and imaging modalities. It enables INFINITT PACS to connect and transfer medical data to systems at other healthcare facilities.
INFINITT PACS comprises four components:
- Imaging modalities.
- Internet/network connection.
- Viewing workstations: computers and mobile devices.
- Storage server.
The system architecture is suitable for hospital and clinic networks of different sizes in Vietnam, supporting the development of digital healthcare.
- Data acquisition: receives images and information from DICOM-compliant sources. Automatic load balancing addresses network-speed constraints.
- Image storage and backup: dual online storage improves protection. Optional image compression supports faster transfer and increased storage capacity. Backup and external storage support disaster recovery. Offline backup includes automatic labelling and distribution of CD-R, DVD-R and tape media.
- Image distribution and display: access studies at any time and place. Applications are tailored for technologists, radiologists and clinicians. User-specific displays, specialized worklists and AHP arrange different image types on one screen. Scout lines are displayed automatically, and users can select an image as an intuitive scout reference.
- Advanced Hanging Protocols (AHP) automatically arrange MPR, MIP, VR, BAS (Brain Angio Subtraction), virtual endoscopy and scout-line views for comparison with prior studies. Viewing options include adjacent comparisons, overlays, scrolling, effects and automatic image linking. A new protocol can be created from the current display with “SAVE AS AHP”.
- Viewing options include mammography-optimized tools, sequential display, Mammo CAD and the INFINITT Mammo Keypad, plus MPEG2DICOM video. Dental viewing supports FMX. EKG comparison and measurement modes connect with the INFINITT EKG management system through the EKG gateway.
- Supports Vietnamese reporting and customizable report templates, paper layouts and printed content.
- Certifications stated in the product profile include CE/FDA and ISO 9001/13485.
The product profile notes an INFINITT PACS award at KLAS 2019.
